In my Battalion I have a couple of companies that are lower strength than I would like. I am looking for new ways to attract new Senior and Mid Grade NCOs and Officers into the units.
I would love to know your ideas, so that I can give them to the First Sergeants and my Battalion recruiting officer to try to implement.
I know different units do different things to varying results, but I'm open to anything.
Fire away!

In the Active Duty, we offer human sacrifices to the Gods of USR and pray that they will reward our efforts.
But, seriously, I would think that being a reserve MP would not be that hard to fill. I would focus on people who may see civilian law enforcement as a potential career, but lack the relevant qualifications. I would also highlight the cool guy careers such as CID Special Agent, and those jobs that focus on Executive Protection Details.
MP Branch has a lot to offer in terms of specialized training that is relevant to federal, state, county, and municipal law enforcement.

MAJ Rogers, thank you. I am not in an MP unit. I am in a CSSB, the two companies I am looking to staff are a Transportation Company and a Petroleum Company.
But I can use the same procedure.
We are advertising the relevance to civilian jobs when we try to get people. It's a great idea.
Thanks

Okay. I may have read your profile a little too quickly. I thought your MOS was 31 series, so I assumed it was an MP battalion.
I was recently an operations officer in a BSB, so I understand the challenges of having under strength MOSs in those companies, especially at the senior NCO level. We had not one E8 1SG my entire year in position, which adversely impacted our training and administration.
To be honest, in my opinion, CSSBs are difficult to fill, even in the active duty. I don't think they have been around long enough for us to understand their capability.
But, like you mentioned, I would certainly promote the advantages that working in the Transportation Corps offers. Most of us understand that logisticians in the private sector are well compensated, and I think that may be a good way to promote those fields.
