I was FA59 for 6 weeks. You need to earn a commission. When you do the Career Field Designation Board between your 10th and 12th year of AFS, it was concurrent with my O4 Board. There is no application. Just do a good job as an officer. Senior rater and rater comments recommending you for it on OERs. They will send you to grad school.

Reservist track-- I'm a reservist and did a 3 year tour in a COCOM J35 as an O-2/O-3. Would that qualify as KD even though I wasn't Field Grade at the time? Not a JDAL but I am waiting to hear back from my appeal to HQDA. I'm highly strategery lvl 1,000, having briefed at an SLS, tank brief, Secretary level, etc. Senior Rater OER ratings always above COM (by O-6s)

CPT (Join to see) KD for O2/O3? Which branch? Unless it’s listed in the DA PAM as KD for grade, no.
