Has anyone separated to go to PA school, then reentered service?

I was wondering if anyone here has gone through the experience of separating from service, attending PA school (or any other long term academic endeavor), then reentering service after graduation. If so:
-How long did the process take for you to reenter after contacting a recruiter?
-Did you start working with a recruiter while you were still in school, or did you wait until after graduation/certification?

Why not just apply for the IPAP? Fully funded, retain your pay at your current grade then earn a commission after finishing your MSPA. Do you plan to borrow money or use your MGIB? Then apply for a Direct Commission after you graduate?

I've certainly considered it: IPAP is a world class program that produces world class PAs. Unfortunately, I exceeded the Air Force's TIS cap of 10 years (13 years active duty) and had to take an alternate path. I'm very fortunate to say that I am currently in a civilian program, using the GI Bill for funding.
I was in the Florida Air Guard while updating/finishing prereqs, and ultimately decided to separate so as to avoid being activated for an extended time during hurricane season and risk having to drop out of the program. I hope to return to uniform as soon as I can after graduation though.

I got out. I went to PA school, and now coming back in. I didn’t plan it that way. You’re not currently in, correct? You can pm me if you prefer to chat more about PA programs.
