I am about to graduate and commission in 2 weeks through Green to Gold active duty option. Does those two years count towards my enlisted time period for me to get OE pay? Asking because I will have 3 years 11 months TIS is those two years are not counted.

When you Commission and arrive to your first unit your time in service will be all jacked up. It's completely normal for prior service accessions. Go see your career counselor and they'll get your pay entry date fixed. If you're lucky you'll have a squared away MPD who will fix it during inprocessing.

2LT (Join to see) your answer starts on pages 1-6 and 1-11 of the FMR.

Creditable Service: "10. Service as a member of the Army, Navy, or Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), provided the member has concurrent Selected Reserve (drilling status) for duty performed on or after August 1, 1979;"

Recommend you spend a little time reading this as you may have to go through your chain in case Finance doesn't get it on the first go round.

Edited: I re read your original post. You appear to be 1 month short. If you did not have SMP time, you are out of luck. See if you find something different in the regulation, link attached. Look hard at how the creditable service is computed. Especially if you were DEP or Reserve Component. You are so close, ask for it and let them tell you no.

Actually the creditable service for him will count because he was on active duty. The ROTC refers to the members under scholarship or the non scholarship who aren't enrolled in SMP.

SFC (Join to see) - I have never heard of ROTC time counting unless they were concurrently enlisted. I hope this is the case for the soldier's sake. He's so close.

LTC Jason Mackay in the case of active duty option he is concurrently enlisted. Honestly, figuring out which portions of officer time are creditable for which pay is one of the most difficult parts of my job. I've spent hours digging through the FMR working on officer cases because that thing is so broad.

That's an interesting question I hadn't encountered before, I honestly.don't know...maybe you could call.DFAS.on their toll.free.line and ask,.or.ask your ROTC.senior facukty, perhaps?.I'd seen you'd mentioned DFAS.where you'd sent this thread they have a toll.free,.ive.seen it,.look.it up, call.tjem, and ask to.soeak.with a supervisor and/or.manager, im.sure you could.get the question referred for an answer...alsk, what MOS and branch are you going for?.Are you doing grad school.immediately?.Look up USAF AFIT, and Naval.Postcard School (NPS), youre.allowed to.submit for both as Army for your masters.and PhD, though you'd likely need to do a cop of tours as a company grader first to have a chance...also.submit for military Rhodes scholar, OK? What grades? GPAs? STEM.and non-STEM.coursework have you done this far? Any flight interests, whether pilot.or navigator? Possibly rotary or.fixed wing? Clinical.interests? Hobbies,.reading tastes, sports.esp.martial arts.if any? I have an interest in career/educ stuff, that's why I always ask those things, if he most eager to hear more, hope that was all of.some use and/or interest, OK?
