Do You Watch Game of Thrones? If so, Why? Why Not?

On Sunday (14JUN), the hit HBO show, Game of Thrones, concluded its 5th season with quite the controversial finale. (No spoiler here, but, in typical George RR Martin fashion, an important and well-liked character met their untimely demise...)
Among the many shows currently playing on television, no other show (in my opinion) has reached the heightened level of controversy that this show has. Some come close, but few tread into some of the dark, adult themed, areas that Game of Thrones has.
Likewise, this shows viewership seems to operate on the extremes: either people absolutely love it, or they absolutely don't. Even those that occasionally bicker about direction of story lines (in relation to the book series, etc) and treatment of characters, tend to return for more.
--Do you watch this show? If so, why? Why not?
--Did you watch it at one time, but, then cease watching it, for one reason or another?
--If you do watch it, what turned you onto it? (Complex story line? Characters? Deep exploration of issues, like Power, Loyalty, Betrayal, etc?)

Love it. Great combination of story line, acting, drama and action. The struggle for power by all means necessary.

Sir,
In my opinion, no other show on TV even remotely approaches the complexity/depth of Game of Thrones' characters and story line. Unlike any other show I've seen, George RR Martin managed to craft an entire "world", complete with locations, histories, lineages, etc.
Courtesy of my wife, I have begun watching a show entitled "Outlander", as well, which is on the Starz network. Both "Outlander" and "Game of Thrones" are similar, in some respects, and have both captured very large scale audiences because they manage to seemingly cross a variety of different genres (fantasy, elements of mystery, romance, etc...).
Davinci's Demons (on Starz) is also a great one....

I am getting really quite addicted to it, as well, SPC (Join to see)...although, I am nowhere near 'current' on the TV show, though, yet. (After some serious binge watching, I just finished the 2nd season, and am on the 3rd season now...)
Without dropping any spoilers here, what happened on the last episode/season 5 finale, my finding out about it was inevitable as my Facebook newsfeed was literally inundated with news stories, friend reactions, etc....(Even when they posted vague comments, what are you suppose to do when someone says something like "I hate you Game of Thrones...why would you kill off THAT character?!?!?!")...lol
Judging by the responses of some people online, you'd think they'd be giving up on Game of Thrones completely and cursing HBO for 'kiliing off another beloved character', at least in their own little 'protest'.
I have a feeling that those same people will be back to watch next season (despite what they say now)....
