Do you think the federal government should intervene in Chicago?

Eliminate the gangs and the calm will come to Chicago. Federal and local cops cracked down on Chicago in the 20's and 30's maybe we need some J. Edgar Hoover in Chicago again to clean out the gangs instead of organized crime and criminals back then. A relentless deluge of law-enforcement to get rid of the criminals and all the crooked cops too!

Part of Chicago appears to be at war with American citizens. Perhaps, there is a way for the Federal government to make war with the gang bangers.
I would like to see Charles Bronson using Sniper tactics to rid Chicago of the enemy. In a new movie of course.

Sadly, I have to say no. Because even if the Federal Government gets involved, the first thing they will do is create a committee to see what the issue is.......which takes forever and a day for the committee to even be formed and then the time it takes for the committee to determine what their ground rules are.......before they even begin to "investigate." Then depending on the results of the "investigation" are, then they have to talk and talk about what the best course of action will be.........then wait for approval and funds for it. It would literally be a waste of time and taxpayer money. They already have strict gun laws, yet criminals are shooting up people like it's the wild west. Tell the local and state authorities, as SGM Erik Marquez said, that federal dollars will be held back for as long as it takes until they clean house up. And the best place for them to start, is to start looking at local and state people and see what they are and aren't doing, and also look at where the criminals are getting their weapons.....because they aren't getting them at the local gun shop (at least not legally, anyway).

In looking at the state of our country. Crime, poverty and unemployment I am ready for us to take care of US. I say we need to afford all our resources to get our country in a better posture.

Clearly the city of Chicago and the state of Illinois haven't been able to make any progress in curbing the violence. Something needs to happen.
