Do those of you in Service Support MOS's (Food Service, Supply, HR, et al) feel you get the respect you deserve?

MSG (Join to see) roger that, I was an 88M, you better believe it, delivering the fuel, food, gas, ammo, parts and anything you need for sustainment. All the war fighters respected that during the Invasion of Iraq in 2003. Good read and share!

I thought 88Ms was the most under appreciated MOS in theater. Takes some major brass ones to drive that slow, that far, with that many on those same roads the IED makers know you've gotta take. The 88M MOS should of had a collective SSI that looks like a bullseye because that's what those convoys looked like but God bless you, you still rolled out. Hat's off to you SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. Thanks for the fuel and supplies.

MSG (Join to see) - Roger that, during the invasion the lines got so stretched the warfighters were on hold until more supplies reached the front.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL - You will never stay up with the Tanks. They go too fast in the terrain.

I was an intel type, so this wouldn't apply to me. However, as someone with friends who were, I can get pretty worked up when some high and mighty 'warrior' disparages the type, as has happened a few times here on RP. Bottom line is, warriors don't eat, shoot, get medical aid, or do much of anything else without the people doing those supply-type jobs.

SN Greg Wright, I don't know who started REM's, but if they thought they could do it all without the rear support, they are as dumb and self serving as one can be. IMHO

We get the amount of respect that we deserve. Some of us risk our lives, some of us support the mission. At the end of the day, we're just cogs to support the war fighting machine.
