Did anyone know that NOAA is considered a uniform service?

Only the six branches (USA, USMC, USN, USAF, USNG and USCG) show up if you look up the Uniform Services on the DOD website. But if you really dig into some of DOD's documents you will see this quote:
"As used in this report, "uniformed services" refers to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the U.S. Public Health Service."

They also only have about 320 commissioned officers, as opposed to the US PHS having 6,500 or so commissioned officers.
