Boston is honoring all of the living Medal of Honor Recipients next Sunday 20 September.. So far we have 56 members of this elite club in Boston with a few more expected. So I will try to post the stories about those from WWII....

I haven't read any comments by RP members who were in WWII but I hope we have some here who served in our so called "Good War" that ended 70 years ago. Most of them came home, hung up their uniforms and got on with their lives. And many never talked about their experiences in the Pacific or Europe or would just say "I did my job like everyone else did" or some would stare off into space and say "It was rough"...

We will be having our annual Veterans Day Memorial Ceremony at Boston College on 11 November & this year we plan to honor all of our WWII Veterans & those who gave their all in this war. About all I can do is say "Thank Your Sir or Ma'am" and shake their hand. This photo was taken on 30 May 2015 at BC when we honored all of our Vietnam Veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country
