How can I identify which ODA a patch is and what it means?

ODA 591.
The three number ODA predates 2006, when they had to start making accommodations for a fourth BN in each active duty group.
In the older three number era, it was Group (5th in this case), then company/BN (1,2,3 for A,B,C, 1st BN, 4,5,6 for A,B,C, 2nd BN, etc), then 1-6 for the team. Or 0 for the B team/CO HQ.
This was ODA 591 in C Co, 3rd BN, 5th SFG.
The four number designation is now Group, BN, CO, team, which would mean 591 is now 5331.
It is not a mountain team, a mountain team would end in 3.

MSG (Join to see) - That part is a graphic from the movie poster for 12 Monkeys, and there are 12 on an ODA, so that part probably evolved from some inside joke on the team about an ODA's similarity to 12 monkeys.
