Army testing centers won't let you take the ASVAB without going to BSEP. They also require that you request it via 4187.

The only way around that is to drive to the testing center of another service and try to take it through them. Since they don't have a BSEP course their service members just take it on their own.

the woman i spoke to told me i need a 4187 but i can take the test to determine my line scores. Liaison said he had someone graduate and take the test the day of on post here but im just confused on how to go about this whole thing

SGT (Join to see) probably talking about the TABE test. Some testing centers use it to determine which BSEP course they'll put you in. The fact is that unless you're getting stationed at Benning, the day of graduation is still too late. You'll still have to continue on to your next assignment and apply from there. The only way that would change is if you have airborne school next.

I believe the answer is "Yes. However, the most recent score is used. If you score lower that is what will be used."

However my real answer is "I don't know". I am not directly familiar with this.
