LTC Jason Mackay Navy SecNav instruction are much harder to understand than Army regulations but I'm no just a low level peon! I have seen all sorts of people from all services wearing awards of other services when I worked for Navy and Air Force. I think with joint commands you are seeing it more and more and you are also seeing more joint service medals awarded.

SFC William Farrell - it's not expressly forbidden, just has some rules. These two pages lay it out in its entirety. Don't agree with it, I'll just have to remember to fix it when I'm the SECNAV or the SECDEF.

Question pertained to Marines authorization to wear an Army award.

I may be reading this wrong, but it looks like if it's an ARCOM without the V, then, yes, if with a V, there's a whole rigmarole to go through to get it approved.
