As I was sitting in the sportsbook watching my 49ers lose, I saw a man with a Vietnam Veteran hat walking my way, and I immediately stood up, while wearing my Iraq Veteran hat, put out my hand, and thanked him for his service, to which he said, " Welcome to the Brotherhood".

I enjoyed meeting veterans of all branches and all types of service. Some of my fondest memories are meeting Vietnam and World War II vets and listening to them talk. I have learned much from talking to those who come before me and trying to pass on what I know to those who come after me. I do enjoy the fellowship of veterans more than the fellowship of those who have not served
