Ok so some people hunt and some people don't. Each has valid arguments for supporting their position. Sometimes deer hunters don't even get the opportunity to see a deer while in a stand. I know hard to believe if you count the number of deer we see hit by cars. Personally I'd rather see them killed and dressed by a hunter than on the side of the road. I hope everyone who hunts agrees with this. I know there are a few who view deer as nuisance and to them it doesn't matter which way the deer dies.
Now I've gotten off topic, what I want to show you is what one TN farmer is doing to protect his herd during this weekend's deer hunt. So if you're out hunting on someone else's property make sure you don't shoot their livestock (horses and cows). If you see one marked COW or HORSE definitely don't shoot it. :-)
Have a great weekend.

Normally, I would ask "Are there really people out there that can't tell the difference between a cow and a deer?" but then I just remembered all the epidemic of stupid people in the world.

A famous joke out here, whither true or not - recounts the cowboy telling the city fellow that had come deer hunting that he was welcome to his 'deer', but could you let me get my saddle off him first.

In Montana, there are 2 things that I have seen occur....someone painted the word COW in the side of some of their cows....someone shot a cow dead center in the O..... not sure if they ever got caught, much less charged.... second thing that happened, AF member went deer hunting....went to processing station with "record book deer doe".... game processer told him that due to it's nature, the hunter needed to check it with the Fish and Game..... Turned out it was a Lama.... some people keep a few of them as they act as good guard animals for sheep and cows against coyotes..... he had to take his lama kill back to the rancher to explain his error.....
They are out there...and they breed....

The dairy farmers and horse owners should just put PT belts on their animals. Everybody knows those things are bullet proof! :)

This is true....I survived a year in a combat zone where it was required for us to wear our PT belt. At first I had my doubts....but as the mortars continued to miss, I became a believer.
