We've expressed our outrage at the disrespect shown around the world and at home, immortalized the moment it was raised in Iwo Jima, stood at attention as casket after casket arrived at Dover for the next leg of their journey covered with our flag.

June 14 -- HAPPY FLAG DAY to our Old Glory!!!

This symbol and these colors remind us of the FREEDOM our brave soldiers fought for in the past and still fight for today.

“Our Flag does not fly because the wind moves it; it flies with the last breath of every Soldier who died defending it." <>

Absolutely. Here at Fort Benning, GA, the home of the Infantry, every home has a flag in front of it. It reminds me of Mayberry, and I would not have it any other way.

MAJ Rene De La Rosa what an impressive sight that would be. Unfortunately, even here in a military/veteran heavy community, the flags don't fly or fly in the rain or in the dark. My flag is out and the sun is up. It will be lowered and stored over night because there is a slight chance of rain and I do not have light bulbs that never go out so each morning, it is displayed with respect and each evening retired at dusk.

24/7-365 with my USAF flag. Both will be replaced when the time comes and the new ones will fly 24/7. I dare someone to tell me to take them down or try to remove them...Salute 07

My all-weather flag flies 24/7. Looks great lit up at night. My veteran father and I put up the 25' flagpole and raised the flag on July 4, 2015. It just now started to show signs of wear on one end so wild be replaced July 4, 2016.

Maj Kim Patterson, I fly mine 24-7 unless a storm comes in. I have the POW/MIA under it. My US flag is 3X5 and my MIA/POW flag is 2X3. I have a light on it for the nighttime. Thank you for this post. I know I'm two, days late.

SGT (Join to see) Better late than never and it sounds like you have taken proper care to give our flags the respect they deserve. On behalf of all those we still await, the POW/MIAs, an extra thank you. It serves as a constant reminder of the third possibility, the first two being coming back dead or alive, never knowing, forever hoping.

Thank you ma'am. I have a few friends who haven't come home yet and I fly the POW/MIA flag for them and all others still missing. When my flags tear or start coming apart, I fold them and take them to a Boy Scout troop, who has a proper retirement for the flags.

I would be honored if you would go to my flag page on my website.
