I'm not being a wise ass old retired dinosaur Senior Chief when I say this, really,,... Anyone who leaves active duty military and then decides to enlist or reenlist active duty in their original military service or another military service should just be glad that they were fortunate enough to have kept themselves qualified , i.e. medical, moral, physical fitness, criminal, etc. So much can happen in an instant to eliminate/disqualify someone from reentering the military. If you are given options for your contract great! But keep a mindset of I'm glad that I could get back in and that they they didn't have to let me back in. If the timing was different they might not have let you back in. I sincerely wish you all the best in your Army career.

Have you read the business rules? As a prior service your options are limited based on your individual circumstances. Take a look below:

What has your recruiter told you about ‘needs of the Army’?

Are army prior service enlistments “needs of the army” or will I get to have some say in the contract?

Did you finish your first contract or were you separated before you ETS'd?

SPC (Join to see) you will be limited, but you will still be able to pick from a list. However. Honestly, your best bet is to reach out to a recruiter. But there are prior service business rules. Most apply to E5 and over, and TIS overall.
