My current battalion commander requested that I get these pics framed for him to hang near his office. Thanks in advance!

SPC (Join to see), the best thing for you to do is to pay a visit to the 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum and talk to the curator, Mr. Jimmie Hallis.

Military Units. If you are an 82d Airborne Division unit and require historical research regarding your unit, please call or come by the museum to submit a formal request and discuss the requirements.

If that stalls, you can pull the previous centralized selection lists for the names. Have you tried the photo lab for the old photos?

Anyone know where I can find a history of 3-82 batt commanders?

Some units have taken to creating wiki pages for this, but if that's not available and your unit webpage isn't tracking, I would maybe talk to the 82nd CAB S1. Google is a great tool for stuff like that as well

Sorry for the typos, temperamental tablet, call both the ground I'd sent the Wikipedia page for, as well as NPRC, and I'm sure you'd be able to get what's needed, I'd expect, many thanks.

I saw themothermamswersmhjere, however call heremalso, possibly, ask them for the office of the director. Getmon the senior staff to the director, explain the problem, and ask for someone in their reference component, I'd be very much surprised if they didn't have precisely what you'd need. They might want a signed request letter from your unit commander, however, I'd expect they'd dpvery definitely be able to find it. Also, NPRC in St Louis, part of NARA, would also most certainly, in their army office, I'd expect, also have staff there able to find what you'd need. I'm sure your unit commander could reach the office of their director, as well, to seek help, I'd expect, certainly, hope was of use, many thanks.

Suggest you go to the Institute of Heraldry for answers regarding specific units. This is, of course, a jumping off point.
