MSG Brad Sand – Thanks for responding. I sent you a connection request with a link to the TREA Group Page. In terms of 'more info', feel free to be innovative and imaginative about what a TREA Cyber-Membership Chapter would look like to you since it will be a first-ever-of-its-kind organization. Thanks in advance.

The millennial generation is 83 million strong and the largest generation ever produced, outnumbering Baby Boomers by nearly 10 million.

1. MISSION: Launch cyber-membership drive on RallyPoint Network in August that is laser-focused on veteran-based entrepreneurial, health-technology personas capable of delivering HELO-based profit-sharing within a nonprofit business model for TREA: The Retired Enlisted Association (http://www.trea.org).
2. SITUATION:
A. Friendly.
(1) Wearable Technology sector is expected to grow from $123 million to $34 billion by 2020 (Lampkin, 2016) and to $51.6 billion by 2022 (Rohan, n.d.). How much time is left?: 3-year Plan: http://bit.ly/2020Ctdwn & 5-year Plan: http://bit.ly/2022CntDwn
(2) Cyber-friendly millennial-type personas exist in veteran online spaces (RallyPoint) who are willing to band (Nuyten, 2016) together as a first-of-its-kind Cyber-membership marketing affiliate of World Global Network’s HELO brand (Wn.com,, 2016) to financially support the TREA-lobbying effort to sustain promised benefits—Same Mission, Same Benefits.
(3) A 501(c)(3) tax-exempt model exists that addresses entities forming affiliations with other entities to include benefits, risks, and structural considerations (Dilgard et al., 2011).
B. Enemy.
(1) Bylaws. Current TREA National Bylaws DO NOT authorize and/or regulate a Cyber-membership Chapter. Submit proposed amendment to TREA Bylaws and Standing Rules committee by completing TREA Form 100-16, and returning same to TREA HQ anytime. Deadline for consideration is NLT mid-term (March 31 of each calendar year) (Trea.org, n.d.).
(2) Not-Invented Here (NIH) Syndrome. The internal resistance in an organization against externally developed knowledge and/or ideas (Hussinger and Wastyn, 2011).
(3) Veterans’ Organizations (VO). With very few exceptions, VO’s generally are not strategically positioning outreach programs and offerings to assist thousand of active-duty millennials who are transitioning to veteran status (Lemmert, 2014).
(4) Heart Failure (HF). Approximately 3.5 million Americans have HF, 30 percent of whom have moderate to severe HF. Among people with HF, 80 percent are 65 years of age or older (Moser and Man, 2002) (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), 2012).
.
(5) Prevalence of Falls. Approximately one-third of adults age 65 an older experience a fall each year and 10 to 20 percent of older adults who fall sustain significant injuries that reduce mobility and independence, and increase the risk of institutionalization and mortality (Stevens et al., 2006) (U.S. Department of HHS, 2012).
(6) Prevalence of Depression. In 2000, the economic burden of depression was estimated at $83.1 billion, of which $21.6 billion was incurred by direct medical costs and nearly twice that amount ($51.5 billion) was associated with cost incurred in the workplace (Greenburg et al., 2003). Other research on depression-related cost in the workplace has shown that depressed workers who underperform as a result of depression incur $35.7 billion in cost with another $8.3 billion incurred as a result of absenteeism among depressed workers (Stewart, et al., 2003). In addition to directly medical cost and lost productivity, depression is a leading cause of disability (U.S. Department of HHS, 2012).
