Pretty simple question I think.  You can name anyone throughout history.  Mine is Gaius Julius Caesar.  Yours?

Since I met ADM Jeremy Borda a few times prior to his untimely death, I would have to say that I admire the former Chief of Naval Operations. Anyone who has the drive and determination to start a military career as a Seaman Recruit and end up as the CNO definitely tops my list.

General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson.  An absolutely brilliant tactician.

To me this also is Julius Caesar, this is a good strategist and besides he won many wars, moreover after doing the writing with the help of this source https://paperap.com/free-papers/julius-caesar/ I understood that he is a brilliant man because he really did a lot for his country and changed history.

Would be a toss up for me between William T. Sherman and Robert E. Lee.... (bit of a Civil War buff).  Both were passionate about their duty and their cause, and both were excellent tacticians.

Excellent choices!  Mine from the Civil War are Sherman and Meade.
