Consider it gold! I would love to go back. If I could and I might I would retire there. If you like the outdoors then your in heaven. If you like night life then your in heaven. Your about 50 mins from Denver. Best place to be. If you hate your job, which I doubt you do, going off post is more of a college town then anything else. Doesn't have that huge Army feeling

Your welcome and enjoy. I tried to go back but they don't have anything there for me. That hospital is great too. At least from my side of the fence.

One of the best kept secrets in the Army, but holy cow it gets cold. Halloween costumes are worn outside of puffy jackets and kids give up after 10 houses. Evans was home to my 2 boys and they had a great doctor. Both were complex cases and they got great care. It is nice having the Air Force Academy there as well. Between the two places, we never required an outside consult. Of course it was much better there when the OH-58D's were stationed there with 3rd ACR. Lots of natural beauty. Just stay away from Cripple Creek. My ex spent all our savings gambling there for her contribution of OIF I.

Come on Cripple Creek is fun you just have to have self control, lol.
They also have Special force group there.

Most of the clinics are Mon thru Fri. It is a community hospital and most of the Soldiers, family members, retirees get care offpost.

Anticipate getting assigned to the CSH at some point in your tour at Carson, and you will go to the field, I only spent about 2 months at the Hospital, lol
