A great article, I have always drawn strength from my brothers and sisters in all branches as well as the Christian brothers and sisters in my Church. I have found that Jesus always has the right answers , but a lot of times his answers come through the voices of my brothers and sisters both Military and spiritually. First time I have ever heard of the jersey boys. Those Navy men really can sing. Think I will use real Player and download the video for personal entertainment. It is most pleasing to see yet another article where a Vet's life has had such a good, positive impact on someone else. You can bet the 89 yr old Vet has more sense and experience in his little pinky than a lot of people have in their entire body, soul, and spirit Inspiring to know that this lady is so loving and caring. Giving her time to develop and maintain this relationship which I am sure, has brought both of them peace of mind and an awesome friendship.. I try to leave a positive influence on everyone I meet. I salute you Sir for being such an influence on this lady and I salute her for her warm, caring, and loving attitude. OOORRRAAAAAHHH, and God bless.

Cpl James Waycasie My father is 84 years old and a Korean Veteran and Purple Heart recipient and I plan on helping him and my Mom by building my next home to accommodate them in their later years! I'm proud to have served after him and he will always be my hero and rock! Kim Bolen RN CCM ACM is just a great American that has helped over 1,300 veterans to-date on her own time and without compensation. Just a great American. I salute her and her continued efforts. Thanks for reading and commenting on the article! It will mean a lot to her and her efforts yet to come!

Cpl James Waycasie
Sir, my father is buried at the Chattanooga Tn Memorial. He too was a Army Korean era Vet. I bought a home right next door to my Mom. She has COPD and regularly uses oxygen treatments. My 36 yr old Kid brother Harold Waycasie the 2nd was born at seven months. He has spent his life in a wheel chair. so I can relate to wanting to help family out. Simple things like mowing the grass, weed eating, checking the fluid levels in the van are now major issues to her. I think I made the right decision to move next door to be available to my family. Your choice is ( I believe ) the right one. They took care of and sacrificed for us, we should show the same love and respect back to them. I know this is pleasing to God. I watched Combat and Desert Rats when I was four years old and saw the news about Vietnam every night. All of my older cousins were US Army Vietnam Vets, My great Uncles were US Army WW2 Vets, and as I said, my Dad was a Korean war Vet. Uniforms and weapons always held my attention. My Dad was a hard man to earn respect from. I was a Senior at age 16 and turned 17 December 24th 1979. By Feb 22 1979 I was standing on the yellow footprints at Parris Island. My Dad laughed when I said I was going in the Marines. He said you will be home in two weeks. One of the proudest moments of my life was graduation day May 21, 1979 when my Dad shook my hand and said you are a man now. I wish there were lot more people like Kimberly Bolen, maybe if there were a lot of Vets today would not suffer as they do. May God bless her and her work, Sir.

Nice read, thanks for the post. RP is part of her observation, that Communication is key. Many of us on this site get valuable guidance and mentoring. I appreciate Clinton Britt for guiding me in this direction.
