35 is the standard max to commission. West Point max age is 23. Medical officers cap at 42 (but can apply for age waiver). Prior military service personnel can request an age waiver.

You can start at West Point and turn 23 on 2 July so their max commissioning is not age 23.

In general, you must be between the ages of 17-35 with no prior service (NPS).
Regular and reserve officers in the Armed Forces may retire after 20 years of service, at least 10 of which must have been as an active commissioned officer2.
Be a U.S. citizen or resident alien.
Pass an armed forces physical exam.

For the Guard (basic branches, not law, med or chap)
Candidates can be commissioned up to 41 years old and 364 days (with a waiver for over 35).
No waiver is granted for those older than 42 years old. The maximum allowable age for Officer Candidates entering under the 09S Enlistment Option (enlisting on an OCS contract with no prior service) is 35 years of age.
A TAG level waiver is required for all Candidates who will be 35 years of age or older by their commissioning date.
Candidates can be commissioned up to 41 years old and 364 days (with a waiver for over 35).
