Sir, I may be partial but I'd say your best bet would be to persue an intelligence MOS, specifically All-Source (35D) or Signals Intelligence (35G). Intelligence is one area of DOD that will not suffer nearly as badly from downsizing as other fields, for military or civilian employees.

thank you for you feedback. I have never consider Intel as an option. I believe there is a reserve unit in my area, but not sure what NSA/CSS is, but there is a unit near me. Thanks

Depends on your aptitude and interests. A lot of emphasis in the private sector is on IT jobs, and they pay well. If you want to continue in public service, engineering is a great course. There are 27 classes of engineer, so pick one that fits you.

Military Police.
When we deployed to Iraq 05-06, The Army was making MP Guard companies out of every unit they could get their hands on that didn't fulfill a role in the occupation & transition of the country. Artillery, ADA, Chemical, Infantry, Transportation, you name it.
Why - because all existing MP companies & battalions (AD, NG & RV) were already committed and we needed replacements to fill the gaps. We were getting officers from other branches with MP related experience to help fill our staff we were getting Marine & AF security companies to fill in.
If you have chance to get MP Qualified I believe you'll be able to get a job anywhere.
