For those interested in college, where can a transitioning veteran or active service member get local resources for expanding their eduction?

Carlos, looks like you've received some good feedback. I would like to echo MSG (P) Brostoski's recommendation to drop in at RP/6 in Lakewood, WA. The RallyPoint 6 team is there to help veterans and their families. Their unique holistic approach will steer you in the right direction for your Post 9/11 GI Bill, as well as employment, benefits, family programs, housing, financial/legal, health & wellness, and volunteerism. Visit rallypoint6.co or just stop by 9881 Bridgeport Way SW, Lakewood, WA 98499 to be assigned a SCOUT who will assist you on your path ahead. Have a great Independence Day Weekend!

The VA at American Lake has a great education department. They always ran my questions to ground, ensured my monthly payments went out, etc.

Typically, you can stop into any college or university in the area (I go to UW-Tacoma and PLU) and speak to a VA representative. There are also a few dedicated VA offices that can be found on their website for a POC. I am on mobile right now, or I'd grab those for you.
