Anyone notice the increased advertisement of Wounded Warrior Project?

The WWP is really trying hard to get my money. Now they have embedded their donation requests in websites to include pop-ups. It appears they are spending lots of money to bring in more money. They already have $100,000,000 in investments that are idle and are valueless to veterans. They are conducting economic warfare on smaller veterans' non-profit organizations.

Yes, I saw a few commercials on TV recently. I was saddened to see them because I realized that took funding to have TV advertisements.

Sure, they've been outted and now they're trying harder to fleece more people. I wouldn't give them a cent.

Most veterans I meet have a neutral/negative opinion of WWP. Most civilians who know what WWP is seem to think it is the gold standard (based on my discussions with them) -- and they assume that all veterans love WWP. I wonder why the disconnect...?

Maybe because we are seeing this monster grow rapidly, and we veterans are more sensitive to the needs of our fellow veterans, and it acts like a for profit organization.

Look at their non-profit filings with the IRS. Look at the amount of funds spend on overhead (to all their vendors) and the salaries of the principals. Then calculate the percentage of money that comes in that actually finds its way to the wounded warriors. Thank you.
