What can I do if the VA says I don't need constant care but my VA and civilian doctors both say I need counseling?

I am 100% disabled veteran from Vietnam my wife has to help me just cut up my food drive for me and basically assist with everything I do. I applied Do you have my wife as my caretaker. VA has turned me down because they say I do not need constant care and the doctors from VA and my civilian doctors have both written letter say I need care counseling what’s up?

There is a VA form for ‘Aid and Attendance’. You can find it at: va.gov/forms
That form with letters from your doctors should get you an allotment for your wife as a caregiver...Best of luck PO3 Wayne Esping, Nancy

Your post is not clear. Are a Vietnam era veteran or Vietnam veteran? Did you have the VFW, DAV, or VVA help you with your claim?

If possible…. Go to this website and search for “Aid and attendance”. Some of These guys are former VA employees and are a wealth of knowledge for us vets!! Great website!
