US Helicopter shot down at Texas Border! Are we too vulnerable?

A US helicopter with the Customs and Border Enforcement took gun fire and was forced to land near the river banks of Laredo, Texas. This is something that is pretty brazen. I know agents carry firearms but I don't know of any helicopters carrying any weapon system. May Jade Helm was preparing for something that we weren't thinking about.

Oh joy, illegally armed illegal aliens. Do they apply for concealed carry upon entry or do we just look the other way on that too?

I think I read they did get benefits for having PTSD from Social Security now after they were exposed to such violence.

Our side/Mexican side of the border, I'll bet my year's salary that the helicopter was shot down by members of a smuggling ring or drug cartel.

Is the Texas NG still "deployed" down there? Seems like they could show these drug smugglers the business end of a few M240B's!
