Well the Army doesn’t play home games. Kind of the point of our National Defense Strategy…FISH. Fight in someone else’s house.
You can expect to serve at least one OCONUS PCS over 20 years. Operational deployments in support of theater engagement is pretty normal like rotations to Europe , Korea and the Pacific. Deployments will be what ever they are. I went almost half mg career without a deployment then had three. I did two oconus PCS moves: Korea and Germany. I never got an operational deployment (not combat) to Bosnia, Sinai, or others.

A lot of it is dependent on the current situation of the times. War time infantry offices were deploy a lot more but currently the Employments are pretty much limited to peacekeeping actions. I currently train infantry officers and I always let them know that there is always a chance of deploying but combat deployments are not in the near future.

It all depends on the unit you are assigned too- not your branch nor your rank. SOCOM, Rangers, 82nd, 101st are deployed constantly. Heavy units much less frequently due to costs, etc.
