Weird question but by next year will there be no more fighting in Afghanistan? Also, will Special Forces continue to operate in Afghanistan?

I plan on rejoining next year and want to be in the special forces and I’m wondering if there is anything going on. Not shying away just want to know if I’m going in at a bad time

SPC (Join to see), aren't you forgetting that official policy is that snake-eaters only hang out in local cafes and try to look uncomfortably inconspicuous in all the unfriendly places around the world where we don't have "combat troops" deployed?

Special Forces will always have a mission. Their main job isn't shooting bad guys, it's training others to fight. As long as we have adversaries there will be a mission for SF.
If you're going into SF because you think their job is to shoot bad guys in the face and you'll miss that chance, then you're joining the wrong organization. In that case the organization you want to join is the 75th Ranger Regiment

Black Ops will always happen. It is possible that existing government in Afghanistan will collapse and become taliban again so you can foresee taliban attacking the US again and we will go back in there and kick ass again.
