SFC Christopher Perry, I'm so glad to hear that TAP-ACAP helped you to find the right position, unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case 100% of the time for all of the RP community but it is great for the community to hear that it can work!

I can tell you we had a whole lot of work to do on the resume. Even after the advanced resume writing course, it was no more than a good base from which we could build. As far as resume writing and cover letter information, I got far more from LinkedIn than I did from ACAP.

Oh, I know you are busting my stones with that comment 1LT L S I don't know how anyone can keep a straight face and tell the country the economy is doing great and veterans are truly a hiring priority.

US Border Patrol is on a hiring surge. They are actively seeking Veterans. If you wouldn't mind relocating, ditto for the White Plains Police Department (Westchester County NY), average salary 70k a year.

Once I finish all my surgical appointments I will be moving back o the north east, this time PA. It is then I will start looking for employment. I plan to resettle sometime during September. Did not really know RP could help

SFC John Scanlon, we definitely can help. Don't forget to check the career corner out as you are planning your move but also use RP as a networking tool. Find other RP members who are in the jobs or industries that you are interested in as well as the PA area and connect with them and ask them for advice and introductions. The RP and military communities are likely to be the strongest ones that you have and where people are willing to do the most to help you so remember to lean on your fellow RP'ers for guidance and support when you move back up to the North East.

I see you are a 68W... Interested in the VA? We need more veterans... Do you know what area of PA you will be going to? I'll keep a look out for any jobs prospects if you want...

If you end up near Philly let me know. My parents will adopt you, but they might accidentally call you Mark....lol
