How do you feel about having to connect on RallyPoint? Do you think a Twitter-like experience would be a good option?

There is nothing like RallyPoint anywhere on the net! It's all good!

I totally agree. After service, many veterans relocate to other areas and this way they can reconnect.

No, I don't think so. This connection system allows for absolute privacy in any conversation had with another...as to wether or not your communications can be disclosed,to others? I don't think so. You can't send photo on messaging so if you can't even photograph and paste a conversation onto another communication then it's a safe bet..
If you choose to exchange phone numbers or email addresses that is also private and if someone forwards your email elsewhere that is documented through the emails.

You actually have a twitter-esque feed under "updates." It would be awesome if you could refine that to be just your connections. Right now, connections are interesting but I haven't discovered any extra functionality surrounding them.
