I am tracking the MFR from JUN 2020 as the guidance for wear of the pinks and greens alongside 670-1. If anyone knows different, please advise. As well, if anyone wants the .pdf please message me or search for "AGSU Implementation and Transition Strategy."
I want to be sure I am reading this right. Check page 3, para. 5 , sub para. K:
"Soldiers (except general officers) wear the Distinctive unit insignia (DUI) on the AGSU coat, centered on the shoulder loops an equal distance from the outside shoulder seam to the outside edge of the button, with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam, when insignia of grade is not worn on the should(er*) loops. If insignia of grade is worn on the shoulder loops, the distance is measured from the base of the DUI to the outside shoulder seam."
So for little ole' LT, he must wear his bar 5/8 inch from the outside shoulder seam and he must wear his DUI. But either way, the DUI is in the same place?

On the Army Classic Green uniform the DUIs were worn centered between the rank and the first edge of the button. The 5/8ths from the seam was standard then for that uniform

Look at DA PAM 670-1, paragraph 21-22c(1). All soldiers, with the excepting of GO's will wear the DUI on the AGSU. It then provides the appropriate measurements.

Roger ma'am. It also reads that the DUI is centered between the bottom of the button and the edge of the rank.

On 26 January, 2021 the Army published a new addition of AR and DA PAM 670-1. Theses are effective 26 February, 2021. The AGSU has been incorporated into these, your answer can be found in DA PAM 670-1.
