I am not trying to ingratiate myself to anyone but to say I have seen some remarkable threads and terrific posts. We can even agree to disagree. In one instance a member went after one of our more senior participants and it was not the disagreement as much as the tone.

I am also proud to call a brother many of the fine junior enlisted people on this site. I am especially proud of one SPC Smith particularly in that latest blog concerning ducking the flag. The fact that he provided his own insights as he is one of us.

Even the lady who started in on a few members was instructive because you can actually work with most. A contrite heart and respect for that big picture is awesome and one of the most enjoyable parts of RP.

So what is your take and I would like to highlight the non-NCOs who will make great NCOs. It is almost like a family here and most families have issues at times, but we like and RESPECT one another.

I feel comfortable with leaving responsibility with these young members. Aside from the silly youthful indiscretions I see a young future with members like SPC Smith in charge.

SSgt Olson, and SFC Baber, thank you for the kind words. I really chase in SPC Thunderclouds shadow, she has so much insight on so many more facets of the military. Personally, I grew up around the military and rank has never scared me. I am willing to speak up for what is right no matter how much I might catch a beating for it. I do not do this for myself, but because behind me (not beneath) is a bunch of Juniors who might not know how to speak up, or are too afraid of doing so. My voice is not my own. To be accept as family is a great feeling, and sadly enough that has not been the feeling I have had since I have joined the Army. I would also like to bring up the man and legend SPC P. Kumar. He is a wealth of knowledge, and his future looks great. Finally, SPC Joshua Walden, this up and coming RP member has hit the ground running. Building a great name for himself, I find myself drawn to his post, because not only does he do his own research before speaking, he is a true living definition of demeanor and professionalism.

Sorry Larry,
I just saw this and I agree with you very much, I would also add SPC Thundercloud as well, she is the epitome of future SNCO as she is very eloquent, detailed and respectfully discerning in all of her posted responses and comments.
I agree in respect to SPC Smith as well.

Oh yes, SPC Thundercloud is one tip-top soldier. We need more like her and SPC Smith. Plus there are many more. I think we should recognize all new junior enlisted people. I think this might help with networking and charity events.

Lets not forget PFC Logan Mullins, SPC Paul Buck, along with the ones you included, SPC Thundercloud and SPC Smith and SPC P. Kumar. We need more EM's to interact here with out fear.

Sergeants, it is a high honor to receive a compliment from NCOs like you whom we respect. Thank you, and thanks also for taking the time to guide and mentor us through this site.

I agree SSG Olsen. I realize that at times my posts have a callous nature to them, due largely in part to the military environment that I was raised in. Participating on this site has helped me to become at least a little more diplomatic in the way that I present my thoughts, and for that I am grateful.

SPC Christopher Smith
SGT Jaynes, I think this unique environment has done many people across the board well in developing leadership skills. Being able to learn different approaches and truly understanding that each SM and event is unique and in so ends to be handled as so. I am not in a position where I am mentoring personnel anymore, but if i should have to I know my skills will have gotten stronger like your own.
