Hello,
I am a Medical Laboratory Technician of 10 years Active Duty Air Force, Will have my degree in a couple of months in IT Operations Management. I have had some experience dealing with IT functions while in. Studying for my Security + currently and am looking at the Idea of a 70D Commission. I've seen some mixed responses and wanted some clarifications on being able to do this Active Duty? If I were to go as is and get my conditional release, could I qualify for a commission in this field?
Thank you.

Some one posted here that 70D promotion was kind of flat. Click on the 70D tag on your original post and find some and ask directly

Mission wise sir I think so, I was trying to get my NCO in but there is no mission for it. Also there has been turn over in our compo over the years, from what I understand is we are always looking for qualified officers to come over to our aoc. But with the MSC over strength in all compos, people are flocking over as they know there are slots open which causes recruitment to stop for this aoc.

From the information I have as a 70D. The answer is no to AD DC. But yes to the reserve side.
Our 70D consultant for all compos LTC (Join to see) could chime in here if things have changed.
