Hey RP Community,
I am looking for some training opportunities for Signal Soldiers. I saw in the below article that Tobyhanna has done some unit training and repairs at their facility. Currently looking for WIN-T INC1B training for a BDE Signal Company. Does anyone have experience with getting this type of training setup and funding approved? Thanks!

I would reach out to Tobyhanna and ask how the unit worked it with them, their budgeteers know what flavors of money were used by the GFEBS trail
The next thing I would do is build a wedge in QTB/SATB to try and secure resources. The timing of the question will unlikely coincide with input or budgeting cycles oe when you track it all down. Try and get the Commander excited about it. sad truth is it is unlikely to get a mid year pot of money to do something like that unless there is a program.
I would reach out to that unit to see how they did it.

Closest I can get to that was coordinating for concurrent training at Fort Sill with an MI electronic warfare company (jammers and direction finders). Started with a MOU regarding the training objectives, schedule, and support issues. I didn't have a hand in dealing with the finance or transport, although if you are co-located, it should be easy to coordinate.

Like LTC Jason Mackay stated, hard to get funding (but not impossible) right now. However, you have time to do your homework before presenting it to your commander; i.e. costs, timeline, AAR from the cited unit on the article, and most important... how the training benefits the organization. Contact Tobyhanna and the unit and ask for a copy of whatever they used to make the event happen; no need to reinvent the wheel. Plagiarizing is allowed in this instance. Get your ducks on a row, develop a solid plan, then present/propose it as part of your training schedule (mid-long range). Meanwhile, plant some seeds with your boss about it, get him/her on board.
