I have worked before with network nodes, satellites and all kinds of radios. Looking to see which one is my best fit. Also looking to get some insight and pros and cons of both of the warrant MOS.

255A concentrates more on setting up and maintaining the BCCS stacks. 255N covers some of it but focuses more on the network. 255A also covers more of the helpdesk functions depending on the unit. 255A's primary responsibility though is BCCS stack and its operation within Mission Command.

You need to look at DA PAM 600-3 and the accompanying MILSUITE smart book for each branch. You can see the differences and similarities.

SSG (Join to see) - I can't send you a,link because it is CAC enabled. The MILSUITE address is in the 2019 version of the DA PAM 600-3. The 2014 version still has all the branches listed both are still on line, but I don't know if either changed over the last 6 years. Good luck

As a 255A that was a 25U, the bottom line is this. 255A deals with communication equipment that is used by a customer. You're responsible for integrating tech that goes to the end user. Where as the 255N is responsible for the network that said equipment operates on. Very little customer interaction as a 255N.
