RallyPoint Account Transition From Active to Retired Status. (Does anyone know how to fix this?)

So I tried to convert my RP account from Active Duty to Retired. I followed the instructions, but my account keeps coming up Veteran instead of Retired (it's petty, but I feel there is a distinction) and my profile is only 85% complete now because it is asking me for my current unit. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi, perhaps you missed the "Retired" button off to the right when changing on the Settings Page?? Here is how you do it:

Either way, we've updated your profile for you. Congratulations on your retirement!

Upper right hand corner… click the down arrow and choose settings
It should open a new window
Towards the middle there is Account Type
Next to Veteran you should have 3 options (Retired, In IRR, In ING)
Hope this helps

Yeah, I did all that. In fact, I just did it again to be sure, and I get a little message that says that I have changed my status to veteran or something like that. It will not let me select retired as my status. But thanks for the input!

Have you been transferred to the retired roster yet or are you technically still on terminal leave? If RP is verifying you by your SSN that could be why.
Also, I was able to "verify" my account with a military email address but that's because I work for a defense contractor and have an Air Force email address.
My situation was a bit different than yours though since I joined RP when I was already retired.

I transferred to the retired rolls on 1 May. I have been an RP member for a while, so they shouldn't need to verify me again. Thanks for the input!

SFC Stephen Carden You should get an online admin who can help you; maybe TSgt Hunter Logan Or SFC Mark Merino can refer you to someone.
