Actually, it hasn't affected me in the least. We never go anywhere for Thanksgiving or Christmas. We prefer to have ours in our own home. Many of my colleagues are cancelling travel to relatives. Just wonder what the majority of folks are doing.

I can't go home to visit family for Christmas. The only time I have for Thanksgiving is when I was stationed closer to them 2 years ago.
But I'm from Nebraska and it's a covid cesspool it seems. Plus 3 people in my immediate family (dad, brother, nephew) have tested positive in the last 2 months so no to going home when my daughter is immunosuppressed. Not only that her dad's twin sisters had it as well (they work in a nursing home). Her sister's mom had it too. So...no thanks. We'll have to see how things go next year either in July block leave or holidays next year. Or see if anyone can come visit at some point.
I'm used to not being home for holidays. She misses family since until 2 years ago she got to see all her cousins on both sides but more my family and could see her siblings (half siblings) more often than she can now.

Not affected. Ironically, this is the first time since 2013 that the Wife, our 3 kids and myself are all together and not thousands of miles apart. We will doing the meal on Wed, due to both of us working Thanksgiving Day.
