Is there a way for Active Duty to volunteer for deployment?

I'm pretty sure there is but, I am very curious on how to do so. I can't seem to get a straight answer. I'm young and, and motivated. I started my career in Active Duty not to long ago, and would like to earn the experience that comes with a deployment.

SGT (Join to see) Search on "Volunteer for Deployment" to find a number of posts with the same topic. I volunteered for deployment and my orders were cut the following day. This was a long time ago when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Let your chain of command know. You are on a Divisional Post. If another BDE is deploying and short your MOS and grade, they may ask for volunteers or simply cross level at the CSM/G1 level.
Be deployale.
Be deployale.

Let the right folks know and you should have no problem in MT. I kept putting the MCC on Fitness Reports for Rapid Deployment Force (RDF) as a Sgt for years, not knowing the geographics of manning at the time. It was a new deal that led to CentCom. Lot's of wasted picks. It evened out later, with around 5-6 of last 9 years deployed. Stick around and you'll get a chance.
