If I want to VTIP to 17B or FA57, what insight do I need to know about each field?

Consisering trying to VTIP to 17B electronic warfare officer or FA57 Simulation Operations. Currently a new MP CPT waiting on CCC but very interested in these two fields. Can anyone provide insight into either for a green and eager to learn CPT

CPT (Join to see) the functional area is a different process than a branch transfer. DA PAM 600-3 describes the gates. You also need to reach out to FA57 branch manager to see what they can do.

Roger Sir, tracking all. Was more trying to see if there was anyone on here that could give more insight into the specific jobs themselves. VTIPing and leaving my branch is a large decision and I just want to be as informed as possible before making such a jump
Both 17B and FA57 have fairly straightforward processes within the VTIP milper.

FA57 is great, but not without a great Company Command OER.
DO NOT VTIP without Company Command. DO NOT take a marginal Command to try and short cut it. If you do, you will have to be in the top handful out of 75-100 to get promoted. Almost every board member will be comfortable with Company Command OERs, but they will not be able to clearly define the differences between 57 CPTs. I have seen great potential gone unrealized because CPTs came to the branch without first checking the block in their own branch at CPT.
