Don't get me wrong. I understand that there is probably no better time to be in the military with the financial security, deployed living conditions and all in all the benefit of being a military member. But if you could go back in time (or in the future I guess) what time would you go back to?

WWII era. I'm fascinated with everything around that time frame. I'm majoring in 19th and 20th century American Military History at AMU.

WWII, (the greatest generation), in a medical capacity. Back in the days when serving your country was a privilege rather than just a way to get free tuition.

Awesome, basic Soldering! I owe all my Success to the NCOs and Soldiers, who came before me. That why the SOLDIERS REQUEST means SO MUCH TOO ME.

I would've love to serve during WWII where leaders were born and refined by the fire of combat.

WWII because the Country truly supported the reason why we fought in it, and they treated Soldiers with dignity and respect.

I agree with you all. Just a chance to serve with and follow leaders like GySgt John Basilone, LtGen James Doolittle, Col Gregory Boyington, MAJ Audie L. Murphy, my Dad, TSGT James M. Finck Jr., and my Grand Dad MSG James M. Finck Sr. (WWI and WWII) just to name a few would have been life changing. They are the greatest generation and saw so much change. My Dad started the 20th century and lived into the 21st century.

Thank you for the opportunity to post.

WWII. I have such a truly nostalgic connection to that period, music, clothes, weapons, aircraft, that I often wonder if it isn't a past life experience. I was born a few years after the wars end.
