As the question of base renaming comes into play, should these two ships be renamed? Stennis signed the Southern Manifesto, did not support the Voting Rights Act of 1964 & 1968, Civil Rights Act, and MLK day . Vinson was also a staunch segregationist, and also signed the Manifesto. Your thoughts?

CW3 Kevin Storm - Plus, I think that things need to be left alone as is. Removing monuments...renaming objects/bases/buildings....what ever....diminishes the attempts to overcome racism. Erasing it from eye sight does not erase it from history.

Well, shit. Why not rename ALL of the schools in the US that bear the name Washington. Hell, while we are at it, let's get rid of the $1.00 bill. When is enough going to be enough? If people dig down deep enough...I bet all of the prominent folks that founded the country and many prominent leaders and the like in history are gonna have skeletons in the closet that people are gonna get offended by.
