Do you find the lack of government support unnerving or non-existent, particularly for veterans?

We have watched and witnessed our innocent brother and sister killed and maimed on the battle fields around the world, we can't protest. If we have 100,000 saying something is right and 10 in whatever minority group they belong to say it's wrong the government, especially our POTUS, is going to listen to them and give them first priority. Our economy is in shambles, our rights are being taken away, they are cutting OUR benefits to cover their spending stupid. Is there any way to reverse or stop this?.......Please don't anyone say Hilary!!!!

I don't think that any one candidate is the answer. To me, the time has come to clean out Washington and the only way that is going to happen is to have a wholesale "changing of the guard" in Congress. Throw the bums out, per se, and then set term limits. Start making those elected to public office focus on what they were elected to do rather than on getting reelected. BTW, this goes for the President too --- it is time to do away with two terms and replace it with one, 6-year term. That way, we would get a President focused on the work at hand (instead of spending his 1st term worrying about getting reelected so that he can then spend his 2nd term worrying about his damn "legacy").

If only it was possible to do as you say, it would be great, but we are still being controlled so greatly and even our privacy has been invaded to the point we don't know who is monitoring and listening and reading everything we do and say under the disquise of National Security. I think a second term should only be a temporary position, since 2nd term officials know the can just do as they want. If it were a temp position and they screwed up we could just get rid of them, don't give them a guarantee.

True. But I have to admit that I am increasingly frustrated with all these people who have managed to spend a lifetime in Congress. To me, there shouldn't even be such a thing as a "retirement plan" for Congress. And, for someone to be 60-70 years old and serving in Congress, should be the exception ... rather than the rule.

Wayne, they are all millionaires after a term or two, I agree, why give them retirement. They have made enough off of us already!

I love my country and fear my government. That said, those of us still in uniform out to be very careful in expressing seditious thoughts in social media. Veterans could have a greater voice but choosing the message carefully is the real challenge.

I realize the consequences of active duty personnel saying or the capacity to do too much, so it lies on the rest of us to try and say and do what is right and called for to try to benefit all, but in a proper and forceful manner.

Sir, what has been said here thus far is not Seditious. The points I've read are about exercising Constitutional rights to shape the Government back to the intent of the Constitution. That's quite the opposite of plotting/inciting to overthrow it.
Sometimes, we all need to be reminded that the Constitution is there to make sure the Government doesn't overthrow US either.

SFC Collin McMillion I find the difficulty in PROVING medical problems to the VA as disheartening and frustrating. The Veteran employment process is effectively 'volunteer'. It would be great to see all other government pensions and benefits get rightsized, if they are going to hose up ours.
