So I just got out of the army recently and my wife was waiting on orders for her date to get out as well, she finally got her orders but her orders were to get out in a week so her command told her they were going to get her orders fixed... her command came back today and told her that she basically has to clear everything in 2 days before her exit date, has to sell all her leave days... we are basically screwed because we have had no time to look for a different place to stay....

You are missing some key information as to how she got to within a week of ETS without planning to clear. There are some missing components. As for who can do something, definitely not the spouse (you). She needs to contact the next level of command immediately and if wronged the IG.

She was waiting on her orders and given them a week before her Actual ETS date she has been clearing on the unit level but once she received her orders she was told not to do anything by her command because they were going to get her orders fixed for her, they didn’t.

My last sentence stands, contact the next level command immediately, along with the IG. Remeber the IG belongs to the Division, if she does not at least notify the BDE, it could be messy. Have her call both ASAP. SPC Deyton Privette

She needs to find out what her original orders were dated for ETS. Then she needs to find out what was submitted on her behalf to change the orders (The amendment request). If one was filed copies exist and denial of amendment to orders exists. Your S1 is your trouble shooting line of paperwork trail on this. This soldiers CSM and S1 should be able to answer everything on what took place. Selling her leave days would have required a signature for her to elect that option (I stopped doing S1(Admin) work 5 years ago when I retired so likely not a ton has changed). People dropped the ball and it's not the soldiers fault. I would give the CSM and the S1 about 24 hours before going to the IG, or ...have your spouse send them an inquiry with CC line to the IG for paper trail. Unit's commanders/CSM's want soldiers to give the command every chance they can to fix issues for their soldiers before involving the IG but your spouse is against the wall due to someone seriously dropping the ball. Follow orders but get an e-mail out and CC (courtesy copy) the IG's office, that will get some answers if she is not shown triple ASAP why this went down too only 2 days to clear from ETS. Also, Army Emergency Relief might be able to help with funding if this cant get fixed because of undo hardship finding housing.
