So I’m going to turn in my cif gear tomorrow but I was missing my Kevlar helmet so i went out and got one at a surplus store but it is missing the padding inside will this be a big deal?

The pads are an expendable item that are aingle use, like tee shirts. You are not supposed to turn them in

Are you referring to the pads that are removable and come in contact with your skin? If so, and I could be wrong here, but those will not get turned in. I am guessing you did not have to use your Kevlar very much... we wear ours every time we train and those pads are nasty!

Depending on the CIF location, they will either want them all back (just to turn around and throw them in the trash) or not want them back. I've seen both situations happen.

If you are talking about the Advanced Combat helmet ACH with the removable helmet pad set, they usually have you throw them away and the next person gets a brand new set. If it is an old school kevlar without the suspension kit and disposable leather helmet band, different story.
