I used to be chairman of a non profit and am still very close with all those who are currently on the board. One of those persons was supposedly a Col and claims he was recently promoted to Brig Gen.
A number of red flags have come up and after some cursory digging, we can’t find a thing on this including a listing in the Army global email System. The folks currently in the board of directors and I are very concerned that this is a case of stolen valor. However, they want to be 110% certain before taking action on it. Any suggestions of where to service history would be appreciated

anyone with access to the HRC website could do a search for him in U.S. Army White Pages if they had his name. wouldn't be 110% but if he's still active he should be in there. I just did a test run using my own name and 4 "Bruce Burch" showed up. 2 PFCs one retired and 2 LTCs one retired. If you had a middle initial it narrows it down to just me.

LTC Jason Mackay
SPC Jacob Viano - your other option: https://www.archives.gov/personnel-records-center/ompf-access-public
Is the person allegedly still serving? For the Army, you'd have to call HRC. For Colonels and Generals, that is Senior Leader Development SLD.
If the name is Andrew C. Bickhard he is a giant hole in the internet.

LTC Jason Mackay - I did a search on Army White Pages at HRC and a people search on AKO and found nothing on this guy.

Everyone is chomping at the bit, because if we had a name we'd all click on our AKO link or the army white pages and it would be confirmed in seconds.

[~1656153:SPC Jacob so at this point I would be comfortable acting on the LTCs confirmation for the next step. If you could get a copy of a resume he presented to the board that would be golden
You can get the Board to act or go to authorities if he’s using his claim of service for material gain.
