Why is it so hard to get the VA to pay for community care visits to hospitals for emergency visits. Now I have medical bills in collections and bill collectors calling me all the time.

SGT Travis Borrego please check out this post from several days ag, contact these numbers and see if they can assist in any way. If not you need to google some Pro Bono Attorney's in your area that work sepcifically on veteran debt through the VA - they can at least get the collection activity stopped for a thorough review of the Mission Act and the First Choice Program. I hope one of these suggestions help you Travis.

Why do we have to battle with VA?? This is great example of the BS you run into with VA.

I had a community care appointment. The bill was $2500 and the VA paid $654. Luckily the hospital didn’t bill me for the balance. Worst than the Medicare payments. Get a copy of the bill and it blue you away. And you wonder why regional hospitals are going out of business??
