I’m close to ETS’ing and would like to know if I should buy the few items I’m missing for my TA50 turn in. Only because all my gear is ACU’s NOT OCP’s. Why buy obsolete gear that the army has already discarded into trash?

You can buy it cheaper than what you will pay on CIF discharge.
FYI, the Army doesn't throw it in the trash, at least your state CIF doesn't, they turn in obsolete gear for money or new gear. That's why your CIF charges you for money if you don't turn it in.

Rgr sir, I’m just short a wet weather poncho and grey fleece jacket. I’ll check the surplus stores like you said around me near base. Thank you sir.

SGT (Join to see) - also the foliage fleece is the same for Air Force peeps. Sorry, no help here. Three tough boxes of random TA50 and manuals in the garage.

May also want to check Army SupplyRoom.com and cheaper than dirt.com

I’m a currently serving AGR Supply NCO in the Guard. Ask your Supply SGT for a copy of your OCIE Record. He/she will have the access to give you this record. There will be a column on the form for ETS transaction items. If the letter “N” is in this column, you will need to turn it in. It does not matter if it is ACU, OCP, old, or new; Uncle Sam wants it back. Your Supply NCO also has the ability to draft a DD 362 (Statement it Charges) without submitting it to the receiving CIF. He/she will be able to tell you the exact amount to the cent that you will owe for your missing items. I do this when Soldiers leave my Company so they know what to expect and to give them time to come up with their missing items for a potentially cheaper cost to them. Good luck to you.

And if you do a statement of charges you get reduced charges for the items length of service.

No problem you have to weigh your options sometimes if the item is out of service they might not want it depends on how old it is and if your nice..... bring donuts and coffee
