Can a soldier have a shaving profile but still “bic” their head and neck?

Shaving profiles list specific areas of applicability and maximum lengths. They aren't generic "get out of shaving free" passes.

So it’s “lined up” and shaped. So apparently they can shave everywhere else on their face, head, and neck but not one would want a beard. It just seems off to me, that’s all. Thanks for the input.

SSG (Join to see) - It's whatever the profile specifically states. There's no generic answer. Every profile is unique to the individual.

Certainly not an official answer but my guess would be 'yes' since a shaving profile is assumed to apply to the face and nowhere else. That's an assumption though and now I'm wondering what the profile actually states. Does it specify "face" or "facial hair?"

Profiles/chits are generally for the area in question or the impacted area. If there are no issues with their scalp or neck it shouldn't be a problem to maintain the grooming standard.
