How often do Air Force intelligence positions open up for members looking to change services?

Hello all. Been in the Navy for about 3 years, never been on a ship, but at an air command that deploys on land, a lot; deployed 4 times so far... Im an intelligence specialist and specialize in imagery analysis...
I know that every fiscal year the Air Force releases a list of AFSCs available and depending on what you search in google you can find different AFSCs available.
If there are any prior service recruiters here, how often have you seen Intel positions open up?

According to a prior recruiter/MEPS Superintendent on RP in the last week, 15 years experience in USAF recruiting, they have a small target for PS with priority to those who don't need training. They have an annual requirement to fill and it goes in a matter of days. It is a very narrow subset of fields. I tagged you in that discussion.

The Air Force rarely takes PS these days and if they do, its not a guarantee you get in the field you want. Have you considered the Army and the MOS 35G?

PO3 (Join to see) - Ok, lets get this straight.... you would turn down any offer they gave you? And because of that comment, I honestly hope nobody helps you out. You sound like you have some sort of superiority complex going on where just because you're navy, you are better than the Army.
Newsflash, Army intelligence drives policy making. Combatant Command level intelligence is led by Army intelligence with Air force and Navy support.

I didn't mean for it to come off as a superiority complex; I've considered the Army prior to joining the Navy, but thought the Navy had the better base options; but the Navy also doesn't know how to handle personnel, such as the way it handle's NECs; all other branches do that better by putting a service member in their respective specialty; but I only could find that out after I joined and strongly regret the decision I made.

For sure. Totally agree and the great thing is in the Navy we have the opportunity to go to all of those places and our state side locations are mostly in the general vicinity of the ocean and big cities. There's a few exceptions like lemoore or Fallon but the army for the most part has some bad locations in the United States. But you are right. They have great OCONUS spots as well as all other branches who can also get stationed there.
